Open House + Park Day
Walking farm tour at 11am and 2pm where you will learn about regenerative agriculture and how our chickens and sheep help us produce healthy food that is fighting climate change.
Gather a dozen eggs from our mobile henhouse to take home with you.
Meet our flock of hair sheep and their new baby lambs!
Network with other homeschoolers and find out about local homeschool groups that might fit your family. If you are a leader in a homeschool group, bring some flyers or business cards to let others know how they can get involved!
Enjoy the farm for the day. Bring a picnic lunch, your favorite outdoor games, or your hiking shoes and explore 22 acres of fields and woods at your own pace.
I run a homeschool group. How can I get my group listed at the info table?
What should I bring?
Sturdy shoes or muck boots for walking in fields, pastures and woods.
Chairs or blankets to sit on
What kind of facilities are available?
Our home will be open to use the restroom and duck inside if needed for weather, but we do work from home so we ask that you plan to spend most of your time outside. We have covered porches and a few tables, and limited chairs. We have an outdoor sink for washing up and plenty of water.
Can we buy chicken or eggs from you?
One dozen eggs is included in the cost of the park day, but you are welcome to purchase additional products. Shop ahead at shop.hickoryhill.farm or find Becky or Fiona while you're here and we'll be happy to help you with your order!
